Mrs Lucy Bone

Headteacher & EYFS/ KS1 teacher. PPA cover in KS2.

Staff representative on Governors.

I was inspired to become a teacher because...

Growing up, my dad was a Head teacher and my mum was a Deputy Head. They both worked extremely hard and I saw how rewarding teaching could be. I even remember helping my mum with her marking on the weekends...teaching is a part of who I am and I absolutely love it!

My favourite teacher was...

Mrs Brierley, my junior 1 teacher. She was everything I wanted to be: kind, caring, funny, clever and a very engaging teacher. Other children in the class wanted to be like her too, but I was so lucky because as well as being my teacher, she was also my mum. If I am half the teacher my mum was, I will be extremely proud.

Mrs sarah meyerhoff

EYFS & KS1 Teacher

I was inspired to become a teacher because…

I loved playing 'teachers' as a child and started volunteering a local primary when I started college. When I saw the dedication and passion that the teachers had I was hooked, I knew then that it was the career for me. It is such a privilege to watch the children develop, learn and mature throughout the years knowing that I have been a small part of their journey.

My favourite teacher was…

My secondary school PE teacher, Mrs Patterson. She was kind, funny and could always tell when we needed a listening ear. She was also my netball coach and the person who kickstarted my love for netball that I still play today, for that I will always be grateful to Mrs P!

Miss Brownsord

KS2 Lead and SENCO

I was inspired to become a teacher because…

I have always wanted to work with children, and during my Level 3 childcare course decided I wanted to pursue a career in teaching. I love it when children have that ‘lightbulb moment’ and knowing I’m making a difference to the children’s lives.

My favourite teacher was…

Mrs Heaton, my nursery teacher. She was a huge figure throughout my primary school and everyone saw her as a loving, bubbly lady who always brought a smile to your face.
